Interesting, mine does that too sometimes. No idea why but not often enough to warrant a trip to the diagnostics |

Yer I sometimes turn it off and it corrects it but would like to stop it doing it really |

it's the wiring loom behind the wheel. They get worn and cause buttons to do the wrong thing etc. Apparently you can remove them and solder them back up as a budget fix. I remember seeing a how-to somewhere, but can't find the darn thing right now!

nope. There are two holes on the backside of the wheel - you stick an L shaped bit of wire in there and that unclips the airbag. Remove the wheel (that's the bit I can't remember how) and then remove the loom etc.
