I have had very similar to what you describe. Mine did accept a cleaning disk (a Currys one, FWIW) and that did the trick nicely. |

Was it a dvd or cd cleaning disk ? the one i tried was for dvd but it came up on the screen that a non sat nav disk was inserted, no other actions were available.
