2006 RRS CD player not working

Hi I have an issue with my 6CD player - its says there are no CD's in it, but it wont take in a CD. The CD hardly goes in and feels like its hitting something.

I got a feeling something may be jammed or something like that.

Help please!

seem to remember we had something like this
but it just turned out to be how you try and load the CD

make sure you have selected CD and select number 1 of the 6 CD choices then it should load

I am working from memory so you may have to "read between the lines" a bit Rolling Eyes but if all the icons are showing as MT it will not load until you select one first

Thumbs Up

You've selected CD as the input and then pressed number 1? That will then tell you to insert disk. It won't let you just put them in.

Also, if you hold down the eject button and keep it held down, it will eject all 6 disks one after the other. Not sure if it does the same for inserting all 6 cd.s.

Failing that, I've just installed a double din unit for someone and they have a working CD module from thee head unit that could be swapped over they may be interested in selling? Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks guys, this info was really helpful.
I had no idea that I had to choose a CD 1-6 and then insert the CD.

Having said that I also just found out that I had electric folding mirrors after 2 months of ownership! Rolling with laughter

the other favourite is not knowing you can set how far the mirrors dip when you select reverse Rolling Eyes

so they get turned off instead, Whistle

I am sure I learn something new each time I take it out, but then again it could be because I forgot what I found out last time Laughing came home last night and forgot I had set "homelink" for the garage lights Confused

Christ On A Bike!!!! You can change the tilt on the mirrors too??? I turned mine off as they pointed at the ground and not at the rear wheels like I wanted.

If the manual wasn't the thickness of War & Peace, I would read it!
