Hi all, A question about my 2005 range rover sport superchargeds handling..its awful !!! it gets itself all uspet if breaking or cornering at the slightest corner at speed,above 50 , I had a 2003 range rover vogue and this handled fantastic,this sport is awful is all over the place on corners and gets real twichy , I have a transit van that out handles this sport 10 fold over .( , the traction control light will flash quite often when cornering , there must be something wrong as its done this since i got it ,,Im not a sprited driver ethier , any suggestions where to look for possible reasons ? no fault codes com up on the IDD tool .thanks inadvance

It had standard tyres /wheels on before,cant remember which ones tbh but now got 22s on and cant remember the tyres.... it was the same with both ,

I took the wheels off my old rangie and that handled amazing with the wheels and tyres

You fitted Vogue wheels and tyres to your Sport? Was this before or after you experienced the poor handling? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

it was aftermarket alloys that fitted both , it handled like a boat before the wheels where put on so not the wheels , Just had to get different bolts if i rememeber , it was from a specialist alloy wheel place

Sounds like you have a mechanical failure somewhere as it shouldn't be boat-like in its handling. It's certainly got better handling than a Vogue which is usually described as being boat-like. Is it still on its original suspension bushes etc.? Is the Dynamic Response system in good shape? What about the dampers - are they original? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Tbh I don't know ,only had the car about 9 months , what would you recommend getting changed ? There's no codes coming up so I'm assuming bushes would be a good start .thanks

First get the suspension alignment properly checked and adjusted. Then worry about changing things... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Check tyre pressures too - also check that you've not mixed brands.

I'd be surprised if the wheels/tyres from the Vogue are helping the issue but he says it was bed before the change of wheels.

It sounds like something is worn out or that there is a speed sensor telling the DSC that it's spinning etc. Something like that will make the system try to straighten the vehicle and that can feel pretty unpleasant if you don't actually have a traction issue in the first place. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I had a similar problem with my 2005 SC when I got it, it was knackered wheel bearings, 450 for both sides now she tracks straight and true, and it got rid of the wheel wobble at motor way speed, jack the front up and grip the wheel at 12 and 6 and move it back and forward, if there's a lot of play there's ur issue
