Has anyone tried to re tension the rear load cover? Mine had the screw come out and I have put it back together but it's now really loose and doesn't recoil back properly, looks terrible and rattles and swings about, any help appreciated.

Sometimes no-one knows the answer which is probably why there have been no other replies.

There have been reports of 'roller blind' broken springs or springs losing their tension. If you are the practical type maybe try dismantling to find the problem. Alternatively try taking it to to a roller blind specialist or a coach trimming specialist and have them look at it? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I retensioned mine when a screw came loose. I just wound the blind backwards until the spring resistance felt tight enough & then pushed the end cap back on & tightened the screw back up again. It wasn't too difficult. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

Mine has also gone loose, and so I'm going to give this ago too.

My blind tension is ok, but the end cap that is spring loaded is loose. This causes the whole thing to rattle as it is not fitting tight enough, it drives me MAD when I have a squeak.
Any suggestions?

Tighten the screw up again & check the boot side panel trims are secure. Aparently the plastic retaining clips can break in the side panels if a dog guard has been fitted and that can cause a rattle/squeak (the dog guard pushes the trim panels outwards & breaks the clips).

Mine rattles & squeaks and replacing the clips is a job I've still to do. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

I have stripped my blind right down and re-tensioned the springs but I am stuck on how to hold the tension whilst trying to locate the stupid grub screw on the end and line it up to the centre bar. After 3 hours and loads of blue air I give up!
