So here are the 22 inch wheels and special Continental tyres in all their glory. Delivered on a palette this morning from Dan at Duckworth. They seem enormous when off the car and each weighs a hefty 37.5kg, with the 4 making up about 6.5% of the total car weight.

Get a bodyshop to put a very fine line around the arch so it looks like there are separate spats fitted! Sorted! |

No, travelling at the moment so it will be a few weeks. The 21s do look a bit weedy by comparison. Mark

The policy is not a JLR one, it is what the dealer sells as a bolt on and gives them the best profit margin from commission GAP/Paint Protection and Wheel and Tyre cover is nothing to do with JLR. There are lots of brokers out therer offering cover that will cover 22" wheel but as you say most will not cover Diamond cut. Also be ware to read the small print for what the maximum claim payout is - many restrict the maximum per replacement tyre to £270-£300 - not 100% of the cost. Also not all dealerships offer these add-ons - when I bought my Evoque from the then Hadley Green Garage they offered Paint protection (AutoGlym Lifeshine) but didn't have Wheel and Tyre or GAP. When I collected the RRS I was offered all three, but the ownership of Hadley Green changed to Cambria Group from a family. Cambria is one of the UK's larger dealership chain owners, Like Lookers and Stratstone so offer "group" products. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |
