Boredom..

In the last few months, have had a lot of things on my mind keeping me occupied, was rennovating that old drug dealers house, trying to get the stuff on the merc pimpmobile sorted for the plate, and was awaiting my RS4..

Now that all three items are completed, house is on the market, merc has now gone, rs4 is here with my plate on it.... life's become quite a bore.. work is work.. same old **it, different day.. and the highlight of this month will no doubt be the motorshow trip next week..

What the hell should i be doing with all this free time now!?
I cleaned my RS4 for about 4 hours last sunday, but can't be asked to do that again this weekend!

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Kam, my Audi dealer client is offering me an RS4 Avant for delivery in October. Says he has 3 on allocation and no orders at present. He couldn't get me a saloon until well into next year. Is there a reason why the Avant should be so much less popular ? Personally I prefer estate cars to saloons Laughing

He rang me trying to tempt me into a Q7 and I told him that he could keep that, but cheekily said I would swap the RRS for an RS4. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Interesting... you can sort of understand that though. I imagine average hooligan saloon buyer doesn't often have to consider storage space, family luggage etc. If I went to an RS4 after the RRS, then I'd be looking at the Avant (unless I could work it such that the wife takes the RRS so I could have the car I want as opposed to the car I need.

Thats quite surprising to be honest.. There seemes to be a lot of saloons knocking around earlier in the year as well, but now everyone is dry, and the avants will be too im sure. The more hardcore RS4 enthusiast were all awaiting the AVant and many have been preordered, god knows why your dealer has that much of his allocation knocking around. I know the dealership i got the saloons from, was having an avant come in, in the next few weeks as demo model, but they have sold 3/4 of their allocation for 2006 already.

Schmoogle, you've hit the nail on the head with me.. im an average hooligan RS4 driver, and no i don't need any storage space or family luggage space, so the RS4 is actually too big for me. if they had done a coupe variant that would have probably suited me better, but at least i can carry my mates/family in relative comfort if we ever take the RS4 anywhere.

My brother in law, they manage to carry my niece and nephew around with no problems, and all the associated clobber.. yes its a tight fit in the boot, with pushchairs, nappy bag, toys etc.. but the S4 copes with it all ok. Obviously the avant would be even better though!
