So I decided to go 45 series tyres and ditch the Continentals I had. I purchased Hankook Ventus ST RH06 XL 275/45 R20 109V from here http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/hank...09v-176972 at a snip over £100 each inc delivery from Germany.

I think they look more like an offroad tyre and certainly improve the ride. |

So I managed to remember tonight and this is the result: SatNav - 40MPH Speedo - 39MPH SatNav - 50MPH Speedo - 50MPH SatNav - 60MPH Speedo - 60MPH SatNav - 70MPH Speedo - 70MPH Now this surprised me as I thought the variance would continue the higher the speed - it did before but no appears stable! Anyway, thats the results and I tested them on the way to work and also back.
The ride is so much softer than my 40 series Continentals and so much happier. They look better in the arches in my opinion and ref the tyre pressures, exactly the same as before - wish I had done it a long time before! |
