"Tyre Insurance will protect you in the event of sustaining damage to any of the tyres fitted to your vehicle at the inception of the cover, either accidental or malicious.

Fair point, Kam... so the excess on the tyre policy is £20? Didn't realise that - that makes more sense, I suppose. I guess with all insurance policies, whatever they're for, you hope never to have to claim. I wonder how quickly it all works in reality... if your tyre's gone, you need to get it replaced asap.

Retrospectively though, like I said above... all insurance policies hopefully end up being wastes of money Unless you happen to be VA of course, then they come in very handy. 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? No mate.. as far as i can see, talking about this seperate tyre policy, there is no excess on a claim, but there is a £250 limit on each claim. If we had of had the policy when we bought the car and paid the £50 policy premium for 12 months, and this happened, then a new tyre would have cost us, the initial £50 for the premium, and they would have paid out £250 towards the tyre, and it would have cost us £20 extra to meet the £270 we are being quoted. So all in this tyre would have cost £70, not the £270 we are facing now. Isn't all insurance a waste of money? Hopefully we will never need to use it, but insurance is exactly that, insurance.. safety net if the worst happens.. |
