Phil,

I may well just beat you to getting delivery of the next forum SVR.... If I can get back from work in time I'll be picking mine up on Friday PM otherwise Saturday!!

It's at the dealers now just teasing me until I can get to it. Can't wait! Still could do with shifting my Supercharged though, it's a bit extravagant having two petrol Sports! What do folk reckon the going rate on a second hand Nov 14 Supercharged Sport with 5600 miles would be?

Svr's are like buses, Nothing for months then everyone gets them all at once! I had a Friday pm pick up than i had all weekend to burn fuel and smile! Pictures please..... 2012 Evoque

2015 SVR for the fun stuff

Will you wash it whilst in your care? Very Happy

Of course, I will even use two buckets and a lambswool wash mitt. And I will be careful of the gloss black bits. Very Happy

Do I have a mileage limit? Mr. Green

Good news Dickie, you will love it.

Since you're upgrading from a normal Supercharged, I'll be interested in how they compare. With mine, part of the wow factor was due to first time RRS, part SVR. What are your plans for the existing one? I daresay the trade in from the dealer is ludicrous.

Separately, someone sent me a review from the Telegraph - I don't do newspapers - by Andrew Frankel. It's one of those slightly carping reviews and, for him, the lack of seven seats or even five full ones is a Big Deal. He goes on to conclude that for most "normal people", an SDV8 Autobiography is a better choice.

Which conclusion makes me think he's completely missing the point and I'm so glad I am not one of his 'normal people". Or a Telegraph reader. Mark

JLR state that SVR "is not for everyone". I'm glad.

OH MY WORD!!

SVO have turned what was a pretty sorted bit of kit into an animal! The throttle response and general responsiveness is just staggering compared to the bog Supercharged. In Dyn/Spt mode it's a proper sports/race car. The acceleration is much more brutal than I was expected, especially as the Supercharged is brisk enough. I'd say it feels considerably quicker, whether it actually is by such a margin is hard to determine. It feels so much more racey too; a bit like comparing an AMV8 Vantage to a Carrera 2S for those that have driven both.

Too busy driving than to take pics but will soon!

One more sleep, Phil. It'll be well worth the wait.

Slight niggles (aren't there always sadly!). The drivers seat bolster is poorly finished with lots of creases in it and they didn't fit the centre armrest cool box despite it being a no cost option I'd specified.

I'll need to ask Mark how he got on with his as dealer scratched his head as wasn't sure it could be retrofitted.

Right, off to enjoy some more turning fuel into noise! SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

Great you are impressed Dickie and good to have the comparison with the SC. I just love the car when you knock the lever over to the left and put it in dynamic mode. It really is quite extraordinary.

Interesting that your cooler got missed off as well, I think there's a bug in the ordering system where the option can get deselected unintentionally. The cooler can most definitely be retrofitted though the dealer may baulk at the parts cost. In my case, they stole one from a demo autobiography and for the SVR, a different power cable - which was available from LR parts ex-stock is required. Most important is that since the centre console has to come apart, they put someone on the job who is up to it. Cooler is worth having and I've found it useful in the recent warmer weather.

As for the seat bolster, have you pointed it out to them?

Also, did you go for 21s or 22s? I have a palette loaded with 4 22s arriving on Tuesday. Mark

Yep dealer took a photo of the seat and will refer it up. This forum is indispensable with the experience and subsequent resolution that folk have had. I mentioned to my dealer that someone else with an SVR had a similar experience with the cooler box and said it was possible to retro-fit - which is what I'll be asking for.

It'll be interesting to see if I have a cooler - I have one of the production build sheets for my car and I can't see any box that mentions anything similar to the centre cooler.

All of my Sports have had centre coolers. The number of times I've used then can be counted on two fingers.

It was a no cost option on the build configurator - which I ticked. Not sure why it's being missed off as it is of course standard on an ATB spec. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

On the SVR, it's a no-cost option. As for using it, I have it on all the time and find it cools bottles of water well. It's not a proper fridge so you shouldn't expect too much but for me it's a worthwhile feature. I don't fill any of my cars with clutter so the loss of centre console space is not important. There's still space in there for an iPod Touch to connect.

On my Build Sheet, it's shown on the section "Additional", A20 Console Fridges, (in my case) "No".

Dickie, will reply to your specific questions. Mark
