Have gone from the RRS to a new Golf GTD.

The RRS went because my wife wouldn't drive it citing it was too big. I looked at a couple of mid size cars, including the Q5 but as mentioned before , it's a biggish car on the outside with little space on the inside. I also felt it would have been a halfway step down from the RRS and found myself back wanting the Sport.

The GTD is a nice place to be, it's a smallish quick car and the spec we has all the toys and more. Have to say the one thing I loved about the SDV6 was the gearbox, but in all honesty the DSG box in the golf is just as awesome {maybe even a little better}

Not the same cars and I certainly miss the presence that RRS has on the road, but in many other aspects I feel happier driving the Golf than I did the Sport.

The new Vw Golf R and Audi S1 Sportback are nice cars that i had been considering.
But i love my RRS Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam

I wish I could delete this entire thread as I have gone and contradicted myself in so many ways Will downgrade/downsize next time I change the car.

One good thing for anyone interested is that a nice low-ish mileage SDV6 HSE Black Edition will be available for sale on the forum around September. Plus some RRS1 stuff separately  Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
