Rear upper wishbone replacement

Just had the pleasure of replacing the rear upper wishbones Big Cry

I hope never to do this again,as always the top bolts were seized solid and had to cut them with an air hacksaw,24 blades later they were off,the near side was the worst as even once bolt was cut it wouldn't budge even with a 5ft cheater bar so the grinder came out to shorten it as well as large hammer to knock it up and eventually came out.

If only Landrover would put a bit of copperslip or grease on the bolts during assembly.

Took the opportunity to replace the rear anti roll bar bushes at same time,if only the rest had been as easy as that.

Away for laser alignment in the morning.

The only thing I had forgotten to order were the 2 front bushes that doesn't come with the wishbones so had to get it at local landy stealer £67 the pair when I should have ordered them from British parts for £15 each Rolling Eyes ,you live and learn

Brake pipes cleaned and greased while on the ramp.

Can't thank my mate enough for the use of his ramp for a few days and his tools

Ah, rear wishbones. There is a knack to them, not that it helps you now, mind

Even the worst ones are an hour and a half per side Thumbs Up

I had a search for the best way on here Disco_Mikey but couldn't find a sticky on them just the front ones,I've probably missed it though.

A better saw might have helped..hey ho you live and learn.

From what I've heard these ones are the worst...I hope so anyway.

I'm just glad its done. Thumbs Up
