I had wheel and tyre insurance and needed to make a claim for a new tyre. The insurer didn't bat an eyelid after sending in photos of the damaged tyre (slashed) BUT they didn't pay out for the full value of the tyre so check that the premium covers the FULL price of a replacement RRS tyre! The policy I had covered 5 alloy wheel reburbs, 4 replacement, tyres, 4 replacement alloys over 5 years of the policy. The maximum payout I found to my cost was £270 on any one claim and a new tyre cost £350.............. fortunately my local tyre supplier decently discounted the new tyre down to £270 as we as a family had bought so many tyres from them and had 8 cars in a year MOT'd by them. That was Kwik Fit! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Think I have decided not to have the diamond turned wheels as they seem a lot of hassle to repair....and save myself £400 2008 Factory HST- Sold
