Bluetooth not seen on 2006 tdv6 hse....

Hi folks,

RRS owner for all of two weeks and puzzling over how to get the bluetooth to work. Head unit and satnav work as they should, has the buttons on the right of the steering wheel and has the Nokia module hidden behind the panel on the drivers side in the boot + plus the antique connections in the central storage compartment.

So, I turn on the bluetooth on my HTC and it doesn't see anything. Am I missing something simple such as the head unit needing to be turned on (tried with it on)? Or....

Any suggestions?

Mike

Hello fretlessfender.

You must "activate" the bluetooth-unit first..

If You toggle the green button on Your steeringwheel,
in the radiodisplay it should say "no phone attached".

After doing that, you can search for the bluetooth in your car.

Hopefully, this will be of some help.

Thanks, Uffe,

Tried this and the bluetooth on my HTC still doesn't 'see' the RRS. Could this be a duff module?

Have you tried pairing another 'phone?

You could also try a hard re-set. Fixes a lot of these little glitches. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

In the boot, rh side, with MoST connector is definitely factory BT.

You should find LandRover when you have BT on. I assume your volume on the stereo works ok? Bodsys Brake Bible

you've tried completely powering down and removing the battery on the phone? Is there a newer firmware/software update for the phone? Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks, Bodsy,
Both phones are identical - if anything, mine will have the most recent update installed. It's a phone issue, so I'll clear out all the old BT stuff and try from scratch.
Have pm'd you about some updates when convenient.
Thanks for everyone's input and help!
Mike
