No idea. I haven't heard a peep from the dealer since I questioned their ordering. When/if they tell me the car is built I will enjoy telling them that I know and I've signed my name on it.

2012 3.0 SDV6 Luxury gone, but a great motor

I've been in Oz all week but I had an email from my dealer on Tuesday saying he's requested the call over from the factory so it might be there by the time I get home!! Dealer needs to do post delivery inspection, and no doubt their own test drives (!) before I can have it though; probably a week or so but I'm going to pop in on Saturday and hopefully see it sitting there!

It'll be interesting to see what the mileage is on your cars Sally and Dickie. I think Mark's was 30, which I was told today is normal for a car that has been picked off the line to go for a test drive. I wonder whether all SVRs are so. 

Indeed Phil, that is the one thing I'm going to check at the dealers mainly to see how many miles the dealer plans to do as a "pre-delivery inspection"!

From memory, SDV6 came with 7 miles and my Supercharged with 11 miles when I collected them. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

Great to see your car actually being built, Phil, sounds like SVO have pulled out all the stops. Didn't you say your car then has to go for extras to be added off-line are are they being added from the start?

Yes, SVO and JLR have indeed pulled out all the stops; just how much so I will let you know in a few weeks time. I arrived just in time to see the bespoke bits being fitted on the line, so presumably means my car will be ready earlier than originally proposed. An amazing paragon of just-in-time build efficiency too - the logistics of running the line are mind blowing. 

So you're happy with the tangerine colour scheme with lime green accents then?  Mark

Morning all, Working this morning and leaving early to go collect the beastie! Been trying to keep myself busy so the time goes quicker.

As mentioned above, My only concern is how many miles it would have done. I have in my mind to be happy with up to 35 miles.

Im not gong to think about it but before i hand over the dozen Krispy Kreme donuts i have brought the sales guys, ill check the mileage. If its higher i will line up everyone thats driven it before me and throw a donut in their face. Hard.
