I already have one of these now, but, trying to be helpful as you seem a little unclear:

Did you reset the car and wipe the interface? It's not plug and play and if this hasn't been done it is only of use for spares. Wink

Assuming all is good, a buyer would still have to purchase a new map for their vehicle (£250 + VAT) but it's a good product and BAS maps are indeed popular and very highly regarded. This could give the opportunity for a remap at a lower than usual price. Thumbs Up

Edit: Sorry, missed that last answer there. Embarassed Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Im not sure how i would have reset the interface bud?

I returned the car to standard mapping via this unit prior to the sale, so i belive this make the unit usable again with the correct map from Pete.... But i really am not sure.

I basically plugged it into the car, ignition on, select mapping "original" and left it to upload... Then it would ping and light up all over. Reset ignition and off you go. 08MY HSE 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway Grey, Twisted performance cat back... and shed loads of extras!!!

As long as the car was returned to normal it can be wiped (but I don't know how - Pete would be able to advise if need be). Thumbs Up

(BTW, the process you refer to is it flashing the engine ECU - the same as if you were to take it to a garage to have a remap done. Smile ) Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

If you have returned the car to standard with the tool then all should be fine and the new owner can purchase a new map from Pete and then the tool will be assoiciated with his car.

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

Am I right in thinking this can be used on a TDV6 as well? I assume the unit is generic, it's the maps that are specific?
