Ive got the opportunity to purchase a 2012 power tailgate for £250 from my local breakers, will this be able to fit on my 2010 sport? I tried one of those conversion strips at first but it never looked right no matter how much butchering i did, looked like an ear on the back of a lab rat. With the 2010 (or 59 plate) facelift land rover did a good job on the front, great job on the interior but forgot the boot until 2012 (or 61 plate). Maybe they were moonlighting as bangkok plastic surgeons Apologies if someone has already touched upon this subject, im new therefore allowed to be stoopid |

Thanks for that, I guess its back to the drawing board. I should of bought a slightly newer vehicle but the last of the tdv8s made my knees wobble and commit an impulse buy. Unless you know of any conversion kits that fit well? |

The Tailgate external release button is between the rear number plate lamps under the silver strip. Cheers Col |

This can be done, and can be open and closed via button on tailgate, but unfortunately the power struts wont work, unless you know a very good auto electrician willing to re wire the complete tailgate.

Also the newer 2012 tailgates are one piece. |

Hi guys total noob to the site so any help would be great, just fitted a one piece tailgate to my 2007 anyone have any help in terms of wiring, if to use old loom in new tailgate and reroute or splice the two? Understand that the new one has the button to release in the middle of the number plate lights? Many thanks in advance |
