Sabine - that's the boy, thanks. It's the BBC, it for some reason needs to be more than politically correct.

Since they dropped full F1 coverage Top Gear is the ONLY thing I watch on the BBC these days. Hope the matter is resolved quickly so we can continue watching the rest of the series... Crying or Very sad

My thoughts exactly, if one goes they will all follow in my opinion.
Besides I'm sure it was probably one of the Beeb's own accountants that started the 'reinstate Clarkson' petition Rolling with laughter 2.7 HSE, Audi A6 Exec, Honda Accord Exec, Volvo 440, Volvo 360

What gets my goat over the whole ongoing Top Gear scandals is that JC gets the blame but the stuff is all edited before showing. So the producers are making decisions to show the "close to the knuckle" stuff, not JC. When someone takes offence, it's the presenter that gets the stick rather than the producers/editors who actually signed it off for viewing.

The BBC is now saying "no one is bigger than the Beeb" etc. as they try to distance themselves from the presenter. They didn't mind when he was making them sheds full of money. It all smacks of double standards and witch hunts. It also smacks of someone making a late decision - the Beeb is responsible for the safe conduct of its employees. The incident supposedly happened a week ago but it's suddenly exploded now. It makes me think that someone has decided to sue the Beeb so the Beeb is now trying to show that it's a good employer and does what it can to protect its staff.

Either that or the "no panel shows with all-male casts" is now being applied across the board and Top Gear is the first target... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Stuart says "It seems he gave an asshole producer a little slap,..."

The producer in question has been with TG for 10 years, is that your basis for labelling him in the way you do or do you have knowledge as a fact?
