Due tyre change very soon. I currently have Continental Cross Contact fitted (were on vehicle when purchased) and the ride is so hard and noisy! I am steering towards Hankook Ventus ST RH06 275/45/20 http://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/brands/hankook/ventus-st-rh06 as many RRS owners have used with good reports. Equally, I have concidered the 45 profile instead of 40 which is obsurd really for an SUV in my opinion.

So, I contacted the Insurance Company and they are happy so long as the tyre is fitted professionally and is legal. Best price I have seen is £112 from Black Circles - has anyone seen cheaper?[/url]

Thanks guys - I know the 45s may knock out speedo reading slightly but thats then only a need to be aware of any variance and i can live with that, especially if the ride is improved.

No worries, hopefully the Koenig link helped and will save you some money.

Have used them previously and have been fantastic , the difference covered the fitting and balancing with nitrogen all inclusive in comparison to the cost of the tyre alone through camskill.

The only concerns I had about the 45s was if they caused any rubbing, but all reports state they don't so on that feedback will also be giving the 45s a go with the Hankooks.

Reports are it's less than 3% variance on the speedo btw so well within the allowances so shouldn't be an issue as such.

I found that my speedo is more accurate at 30mph (according to roadside 'smiley' & 30 speed indicators) with 45s on. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
