RRS Window trims bubbling

Hi all a couple of my window trims are bubbling on my Range Rover Sport, the dealer wants around £45 for one window trim which is overpriced really, doesn't anyone know of any aftermarket window trims ? I can see some chrome ones but just want the standard black ones or anything but chrome

Thanks in advance for your answers

Smile

I've got the same problem on one of mine... do you know how to remove the trims?

I was thinking I could just remove it, give it a rub down with emery paper to remove the rust and re-spray with some satin black paint and it should be good as new.

No longer a member of ebay due to bad experience although may get a friend to order for me thanks for that

Also I don't think the metal strip that starts corroding causing the bubbling can be removed and sanded down its moulded into the trim itself, I think once they're gone its a new strip needed Sad

Well that sucks... especially at £45 a door. The ones on eBay may not even be in much better condition given they're 2nd hand. Might just have to bite the bullet... Rolling Eyes

Do they replace the existing ones or just go over the top of the old ones?

Mine are bubbled too, any chance of posting the pics up Simbad? Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available

Thanks for posting those - they look really good... thought they might be a bit blingy being chrome but they actually look quite understated. Think they'll be going on my never ending shopping list! Laughing

Those chrome trims look great on your car, but the existing bubbling trim wouldn't allow those chrome trims to sit flush wheb sticking on

That's a good point - not only that but the old trims would just continue to rot away underneath leading to a worse problem in the future no doubt Sad
