My 2010 3.0TDV6 RRS has come up for its annual service. The last service it had was a 96k "B" service. I've had the vehicle now for a year and it has done 99,00 miles. Am I right in thinking that it now needs a normal "A" service? I've had mixed messages from dealers. Some say it just needs an "A" service while others are insisting it needs new timing belts because that's the next service on the list. I'm fairly sure though that timing belts are only due to be done either after 112,000 miles or seven years whichever comes sooner. The car is still under extended warranty so I want to make sure its serviced correctly but I don't want to have unnecessary work done.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Look on the bright side - you were wrong in a safe way. Better to get belts done early rather than late!  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Especially when your belts look like this at 80k miles
