I realised after I posted it - a very good photoshop though Bow down

Interesting information in the thread though -

Your car will float away rather than fill. One member here write his off crossing a ford and it floated away. When you see the message "extended mode engaged" be afraid, be very afraid as the car is getting light on its wheel.

Wow - hats off to you.

Have considered doing similar things in Disco3 at a local ford - thinking no no no - can't do that to a £25k vehicle - definitely don't want to consider doing it to our £85k RRS when it arrives....

Did you have wade sensor?

Dont worry about your car being worth 25k because if you do it and it goes wrong the car will only be worth 4k and thats not too bad is it ? Smile

I've just watched this video and I'm annoyed at some of these comments......seriously...have we gone totally soft as a nation...where is the adventurous spirit. It's 3 feet of non flowing water....the only risk is to his own vehicle, and getting wet feet.....hardly comparible to someone doing 180mph on a busy motorway. I'm sick of the over-active h&s brigade....if a road has 6 inches of surface water it gets closed! We're so wrapped in cotton wool it infuriates me, you learn from your mistakes, so if it's not harming anyone else crack on. As for emergency services, they prioritise, and a guy who's getting his feet wet will move to the back of the que if needs be. So in summary, if your not a 3 foot tall non-swimmer and there's no one else to hurt then crack on.....and if you've got no balls don't waste your money on a hugely capable off road vehicle, buy a Volvo!
Thumbs Up
Sorry for the rant, been stuck in the house all day....climbing the walls Big Cry
