Sygic Navigation App and GPS source?

Does anyone use the Sygic app and know which GPS is used?

Does it still use the one in the phone or is it clever enough to use the one from the car?

Hope it is smart enough as my phone GPS is marginal inside the car. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

From Phone probably - InControl provides the touch screen interface to apps on the phone.

EDIT: Almost 99.99999% certain. Since Sygic doesn't need the car to work, why would they bother using the car's GPS for the InControl function, even if they could?

EDIT Again: Alghough for the 0.000001%, isn't the IC connector inside the glove box, in which GPS reception would be pretty poor at the best of times Confused

It would be good if someone who has the setup could turn off the phone GPS to check.

Not sure I will bother with it if if it uses the phone, like the idea of speed limits being shown and 4 free map updates a year. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

It uses the car gps.

Still not perfect, as every call Overdrives the nav screen.
And if you want to check something on the phone, you always have to pair the phone with incontrol again.

Its nice, but far from a senseful Setup.

No, never on the run... Wink
I read my incoming Emails always on Traffic stops. But thats impossible with incontrol once in use.
Hope Incontrol is getting Apps they read new Emails, this would be very useful...

Unfortunately that is still using whilst driving. "justDrive" is getting there.

It would be great to have IC link to the HUD, but doubt this will happen.

+1 for Sygic integration with the HUD. I guess LR have to make this available in the interface tools they supply to the app developers and the app developers have to want to make the effort to change the app. Early days for InControl Apps but LandRover appear to be investing in the infotainment side and Sygic seem to be embracing the vehicle interfacing market though so it will be interesting to see if this ever appears.
