Daily runner though not travelling too many miles a week, will likely purchase from a garage though shall seek extended warranty as a safe bet, I understand the tax is cheaper on the 05/55 model and obviously due to age are slightly cheaper to purchase, however, is there any real difference between that and say ... an 07/08 plate? |

Go for a TDV8, if its gona go wrong, its gona go wrong, but atleast you'll have the best diesel and will always put a smile on your face everytime you jump in it |

I'm kind if thinking it's the looks I've fell for so hard parting from the Z4 but the range seems like the only car I'd happily give it up for haha, just don't want to go buy an 05 if they are a lot less reliable then a 08 etc. X5 probably would be the sensible option but it's just not got the same presence as the RRS |

At the risk of offending, if you're used to driving a hair dressers car and feel the need to by from JLR, buy an Evoque...... 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Nothing wrong with the Evoque if you just want a capable 4x4 and are not too bothered about boot space. Apparently the most reliable of LR's output so not a bad buy for those who want to avoid the big bills. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I had an 06 RRS for 5 years - swapped it last year. Fantastic car, extremely capable. However, age & miles (100k) takes its toll and there is a lot - I mean a real lot - to go wrong and at that age its all wearing out. Suggest you get the newest / best / least used you can find and get really good warranty, and keep topping up the piggy bank as those bills will come and be eyewatering.
