TDV8 - Stuttering / Mis-fire Engine - DTC Code P02B4 / U0402

Help!

Over the last couple of days my car has been stuttering when I am doing around 30mph and around 2000rpm as if it's struggling a little.

I've been able to connect to the OBD-II port and check for error codes, which are:

    P02B4 - Cylinder 7 - Injector Restricted

U0402 - Invalid Data Received From TCM (Transmission Control Module)

Anybody had this experience? Are the 2 codes linked?

Is it possible to check the injector and clean or should I play safe and take it to the dealer?

Cheers,

Mark

not linked I'd say.

Mine had the U0402 error a while back, turned out to be tracking linked.

Your misfire is more likely the injector issue. RRS gone

An update for anyone that happens to run in to the same problem.

Regarding the P02B4 Injector Restricted code. The injector was replaced and it didn't make a blind bit of difference. the car still felt like it mis-fired around the 2000rpm point when under accelaration.

Took the car back and had a... 'discussion' with the dealer principle! He gave me a courtesy car and promised to get it sorted. A week later... yes a WEEK later I was told it seems that the Torque Converter in the auto box was slipping. Told about a double flush which has a 90% chance of success or new torque converter at £900 + VAT & +Labour.

Went for the double flush, with an addative to help lubricate the torque converter. I have seen (thanks to SRE) this http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic47485.html thread from the Disco3 site. The symptoms seem exactly the same as what i've been suffering.

Picked the car up today and was told that I may still notice the 'judder' for the next 100 to 150 miles whilst the additive gets to work. Fingers crossed!

Yeah... As Bodsy said the flush didn't fix it. In the end the torque converter was replaced and a load of other stuff as it a glycol leak from the radiator.

It was about £2.5k in the end. Fortunately it was taken care of by the warranty and some negotiation with the Service Manager.
