IID Diagnostic tool

After reading a few posts its seems that quite a few forum members have purchased a IID tool. How many members are using them regulary and are they simple enough to use.
I first saw one when Bodsy reset my gearbox and it looked quite easy.
I had a similar type of diagnostic tool for my previous Audi, VCDS/Vagcom connected to a laptop. Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam
2008 Seat Leon K1
2012 Audi A1 2.0litre Black Edition TDI
2004 Audi A4 convertible
2004 Audi A2 TDI

I enabled my RPH using it. Last February I was getting a few starting issues in cold weather. LR Assist said it was just because of weather but when it persisted I plugged in the IIDTool to find a fault with Glow Plug Control Module which was then replaced under warranty. Now regularly use it to keep an eye on any faults. Using it is a piece of cake either from the cruise control buttons or tablet/phone using Bluetooth. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I suppose it's only worthwhile if you already have one of their trade accounts, but I would be more than happy to pass on the savings to anyone interested Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Decided to purchase an IID tool for my RRS. It was a lot easier to use than my old diagnostic lead for my Audi.
Enabled all the usual stuff after a bit of tinkering, works perfect with my iphone 6.
Wish i had known about these when i first got my car. Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam
