Hi guys.

Returning from work today on the good old M4 from Bracknell to Bristol, I noticed that my seemed to want to wander.
That's the only way I can describe it.
Almost like side to side without warning. Not dangerously but noticeable.
I think I can guess what it is.

My vehicle is 2007 and has 65k on it.
It had 19k on it when I bought it 2 years ago.

I'm guessing all the rubber bits?!?...bushes etc.

I've had all the timing belts done along with the oil or water pump with the fault on it.
Can't remember which it was but you guys recommended it get changed with the newer designed one.

Am I about right with the service interval or am I well over?

Wandering? Maybe it has a hot date and your going the wrong way.

Or it maybe a wheel alignment like Mikey just mentioned on another thread. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

It's happened a few times and I put it down to a cross wind or where heavy loads have dished out the tarmac in the slow lane.
Maybe I should change lanes!

I was just trying to find out how long bushes last for really.
I don't think mine have ever been done so I'm pretty sure it's all needs doing.

My missus is gonna give me some grief!!....£££££

Have replaced front lower bushes as low as 39k. But then, I look after a few car that have over 100k, and with original bushes from New... Depends how the car has been driven all.its life, and how old it is

I had to replace all mine at 120k miles

I drive it like baby and enjoy being in comfort. I don't drive it hard.
Maybe it's not a basket case then.
I'll get them checked at MOT time I think.

Just thinking ahead that's all.

Just an update.....drove the same motorway and kept in the centre and overtaking lanes.
Rock solid!!!

I honestly think there are large sections of that motorway that have the surface dished out from constant heavy loads you know.

You might want to check your tyre pressures; I found they were best set on the high side.

This problem is commonly known as 'tramlining' Heavier vehicles cause the road to sink; the RRS sits in the ruts and 'tramlines'  MY2007 RRS TDV8 Black - tinted glass - side steps- stormer grille - 20" diamond cut alloys - alpaca leather - TV/DVD pack - some blingy chrome bits & bob's
