After my previous thread I've pretty much decided on a Supercharged as the diesels seem more fault prone.
Just wondered if any Supercharged owners have had engine issues?, as all I've read seems to be TDV8s and the occasional TDV6.
Obviously I know things like air suspension compressors can go on either!, they seem to go on any LR product!!.

had ours a year nearly and the only issue ive had was a oil leak from the high pressure pipe that leads from the oil filter housing to the oil cooler in the front bumper, other tha that its been a pleasure to drive

Had mine a year no issues except it seems very thirsty for petrol  2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)
2005 GSX 1400 K5

I've had mine for 2 years and only major problem was air suspension. This is my first RR but not my last...been a pleasure to drive. Prior to buying this I asked which was better RR to buy and was told if petrol is not a issue then go for RRS S/C. The engine is bullet proof.

Don't underestimate how thirsty the S/C is though. I've not been able to get better than 13mpg, even tried driving like my nan - it made no difference!

Maybe when the warm weather comes round I'll see that readout creep up to 14mpg

Still, wouldn't have it any other way - the SC is awesome to drive

If you're going to worry about petrol then go for diesel.

Had my Supercharged RRS about few months now and agree very thirsty but puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it

I've had two FFRRs and an SL55 AMG in the past so I'm not much of an MPG worrier, the SL would do about 15 around town and the petrol RR about 16/17.
I would prefer a diesel but they seem to be more at risk from suffering expensive problems and I only plan to keep it for a year before upgrading to a 2010/2011 TDV6/SDV6 so would rather put up with the fuel economy of the Supercharged. I'm more worried about being able to sell it again than the fuel economy to be honest.

Also the ML63 is a great car, have you got the bi turbo V8 in it?, I've heard great things about that engine.

no mines the previous version with the naturally aspirated 6.3 v8, its a monster

They make a great sound too!!, I occasionally look at the E63 s with the V8 bi turbos online, when prices fall a bit more I'd consider one.
