Appreciate any honest current feedback from guys using these tyres.
I'm going to be in a position to fit 5....yes 5 new tires!

Been doing lots of homework and trying to find reviews and think I've kinda narrowed it down to the Hankook Ventus ST RH06 and the Pirelli Scorpian Verde All Season.

What would you go for if fitting 4 plus a spare?

For a spare, I'd be using the best of the old ones coming off as you will likely never use it.

I used to use Hankook commercial tyres and they were great. Bought some car ones since. No problems.

If a similar price, I'd choose Pirelli, but what is the price difference? Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Hi Stu...trouble is...my spare is NFG also as it's got a flat and is worn on the edge where it can't be repaired.

The Hankooks seem to be around the £80 mark and the Pirelli's around £120.

I'd go for the Pirelli. Has the benefit of being an all-season tyre where the Hankook is a summer tyre. Also, LR fit the Pirelli to lots of new FFRR and RRS2 so it's likely to be more suited to your vehicle too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

You don't say what load rating the Hankooks are.

I've gone from Pirellis to Hankook RH06's and there is absolutely no way I'll ever go back. I'm running huge tyres on a FullFat and the Hankooks are 114XL load rated. Handling has really sharpened up. Ride quality has improved.

Living up here they've proved excellent in the snow / ice (they're M&S rated) recently. My car is a farmers working car and as such get used off road as well as decent blasts on fast A roads + mways and to date I'm unable to fault the Hankooks.

The Pirellis had really soft sidewalls and yet still transmitted too much road noise back to the cabin. Due to these sidewalls they also struggled off road - they permanently looked like they were about to "nip puincture".

Just my opinion you understand but Pirellis certainly aren't what they once were I'm afraid.

Only ever heard good reports from others about Hankook......and mixed reviews on Pirelli nowadays..... Carl

(Think the £80 was for a smaller tyre Jas...as you say, probably a little more).

It's difficult as I've read mixed reviews about both.

Read reviews that the Hankook after loosing a little tread depth gets a lot noisier.

It's almost 50/50 what people go for.

Why not try the Hankooks if you've never tried them before. At the end of the day they are tyres and as such are consumables - tyres don't last that long so if you don't like them just drive harder to get rid of 'em.

Never fitted Hankooks but have had pirelli on both my rrsport and no complaints

I have Hancooks as wintertyrers on 20'' wheels. There were on the car when I bought it . Fronttyers after only 7000km only 60% left and you feel every bump on the road, I would not buy them myself. Daniel

Pirelli are soft tyres you won't get many miles from them. Personnel preference though. I'd fit HanKook harder tyre and more miles for your money

I had Pirelli on a brand new Insignia VXR and lasted 10K.
