Changing the key off the old style - looks mental hard!

I have a dead spare, but wanted to get it back running again. Watched this and though there had to be a better way!

I replaced the casing on my spare a month or so back. The old casing was pretty tough to prise apart, my advice would be to familiarise yourself with where the compnents sit inside the case so you do not damage the circuit board while sticking the screwdriver inbetween the top and bottom casings. Good luck! Thumbs Up 2010 RRS TDV6 3.0 Autobiography - Stornoway Grey

Designboy have you tried strapping the old key to the ignition whilst driving apparently this can charge up a dead key, might be worth a try?

done this - works atm with charging it, but I'd thought it was only charging it there and then, where as the next day It was a matter to flick open the passenger handle and get in the side like a tool! Whistle
