Pricey front pads for my12 any good alternative ?

quoted hundreds to replace front pads that ' won't make it to next service' on a 62 plate hse lux.
Any good well rated pads that won't be a false economy but are a worthwhile saving over the genuine LR ones?

check one of the site sponsors. I chose http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/, very helpful guys. Whatsmore the pads were a breeze to replace. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Going to assume you have the Brembo type calipers. Current LR retail price on brake pads is £223 + VAT Shocked

Can be had for £60-£70 for aftermarket pads Thumbs Up

Had a look and right enough I hadn't selected the hse lux version... Embarassed
It's the genuine ripoff price that rather made me wince.
I don't mind buying genuine gear where it's better than pattern stuff but ,...
How can it be four times better than em standard ferodo or similar?....
