22" Alloys on a 7 Seater

Does anyone know why the 22" alloys aren't an option on the 7 seater?

Ride / fit? Some other reason?

I ask as i know of a guy with 22s from Overfinch on his 7 seater. I asked over inch for a quote but I wasn't left convinced that they knew why JLR don't recommend them.

Thanks chaps

The load rating on the 22 inch tyres is lower than it is with 21s.

I guess the tyres are actually smaller if you think about it.

I was told it was the loading. Interestingly, however, the 5 seat TDV8 has a gross vehicle weight 50 kg more than the 5+2 V6 diesel.

And Ive just noticed that 5+2 TDV8 doesn't appear to be available in the UK.

There's a partial thread from August on this too but its not just overall weight, its how that weight is distributed over the axles.
