Last seized turbo I had on a TDV8 went with such a bang, it had blown the vanes all the way back up into the air box

They wouldn't make it past the cat. If they managed to break through the cat, it should be in the centre silencer

intake side, the turbo is not broken down enough for them to go out the exhaust.... that was a long shot |

I would be inclined to remove the Intercooler completely, and see if it is rattling loose inside the cooler. If not, same with the manifolds as far as is practical.

Removed intercooler completely , flushed with brake cleaner, plenty oil but no vane traces, grrrr |
