FBH fault when linked to my Hawkeye shows transmition fault.

Hi I am new to this and have tried to find somthing regarding this problem with no luck on RRS 2006 10057 Kms.

The original problem was I discoverd that the FBH was not working and with thick snow and -3 I guessed it should be!
So I connected my Hawkeye as you do and more or less the following happend.

Went into the 11 on the menu Fuel Burning Heater, then ticked all the questions. Then up came a whole lot of gear box faults both on the dash and on the Hawkeye. Then on the dash appeared the letter F.

Having reset everything the Gearbox is fine and changes as it should do.

It may be worth mentioning that last year I had a break light problem. Bad contact on the lefthand side which gave all the known falt codes. Contact cleaned 2 new bulbs and problem solved. This fault also showed transmition Problems!

Anyone any ideas?

Did you use the CAN-BUS adaptor when trying to communicate with the FBH?

No, I assume your refuring to the BA5080? Do I Need this then to gain access without getting all the errors being displayed? If so I will have to get one.

Do you have a idea what the problem could be with the FBH?

Yes, you will.need the adaptor for the Hawkeye to switch between HS and MS CAN networks. Most of the systems are linked by HS CAN, but things such as FBH etc are all on the MS CAN network

Thanks a lot, as Land Rovers are getting more popular here we could do with companys like yours.
It's alarming that without this the system can be put into such disorder without the CAN BUS.

Thanks again looks like another order to AEW Pad for the CAN BUS.
