Alternative to using Peter Vardy in Aberdeen?

I was wondering if any members around the Aberdeen area have any recommendations to an alternative to using Peter Vardy? I have had my fill of the incompetence which is perpetually on display there and I simply don't trust them anymore.

The wife's 2010 RRS will be requiring it's annual service in March and an MOT. I am not going with the Land Rover warranty again and will go to Warranty Direct.

I have heard good things about a Land Rover Specialist garage in Kemnay; anybody have any experiences from there?

All pointers greatly appreciated.

Mann Automotive in Laurencekirk get fantastic reviews. Over 25 plus years of Land Rover experience. They righted a few wrongs on my friends 2013 AB that Peter Vardy could not repair.
I'm sure they even do a pickup/drop off service. Currently driving:

To cut a long story short; I went back to Vardy.

My reasoning was:

1) Land Rover offered me a reduced price on the warranty which actually made it cheaper then Warranty Direct.
2) I wanted to continue the main dealer service history
3) I had a £300 "discount voucher" from Land Rover (due to all the mistakes Vardy had made on the car last year) which had to be used before it expired. I also received £1700 cash from Land Rover at the end of last year due to all the Censored about I had been put through with Vardy.

However..... I booked the car in for its service and MOT last Friday and dropped it off on the Thursday so as they could get straight to work on it on the Friday morning and as I write this, I still haven't got it back from them.

They called yesterday telling me that the Oil Pump had to be replaced.

It looks as if they certainly get the most from back charging Land rover for all those hours for an item which I never knew was faulty. A cynical mind would think that they were creating work and making money from my warranty..... Leasky.

Yes, excellent point but the vehicle has less then 20k on the clock and I wasn't aware off any tell-tail signs / warning lights etc prior to putting the vehicle in to them last week.

I did have a meeting with the current Service Manager a few weeks ago and went over all my concerns from last year. The incumbent seems a nice enough guy and for once actually acknowledged the mistakes which were made by the company last year.

I certainly hope that they have improved and hopefully some bright mechanic has indeed identified the early stages of the oil pump failure. Leasky.

I agree, a new oil pump at 20k is really not on. I would not think it would be something they would choose to change at the drop of a hat so I would be interested to know their findings. I presume there has been no delay in the oil light extinguishing?

No, there was no delay in the oil light going out or any other indication of leaks etc.

It's my wife's car and I don't usually drive it but I did have cause to take it on a 200 mile round trip last week (cruise control at 74mph all the way) and it was a pleasure to drive and absolutely no signs of anything untoward.

Yes, I certainly look forward to a detailed break-down as to why they needed to replace it. Leasky.
