Thanks ABSport not 100% sure as I checked the Castrol web site & it states

MAGNATEC 5W-30 A1

So is this better ok or worse/ not recommend? Range Rover Sport 2009 Stormer edition.

Not sure what A1 and A5 are but someone will be along shortly. Personally I'd use it. Whistle

I used Mobile 5w-30 that was in Halfords and in their guide. Done a full oil change and all is well. Thumbs Up

You should look on the label for Ford Specification WSS-M2C913-C.

Don't think that is such a great price for only 4 litres. I just shopped around today and Halfords are cheapest - (last time it was ECP!)

I tend to use Mobil Super 3000x1 Formula FE 5W-30 and currently Halfrauds have it at £23.99 for 5 litres 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Mobil Super 3000x1 Formula FE 5W-30 also conforms to ACEA A5/B5.

If you go by the Ford specification (recommended by LR) it might be best if you ever have a warranty claim as it is one less way for the warranty company to wriggle out of covering you Rolling Eyes

And yes - absolutely only use genuine LR oil filter or you are asking for trouble (they are only a tenner). 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
