Original land rover MY12 is silver on all body colours.
One thing that iv realised with these aftermarket kits is that, the silver trim doesnt flow with the cars swage lines, infact it sits higher hence the lettering is squashed and not alot of space around.

If you closely look on MY12 cars, the silver strip runs across with the swage lines, and rear lights.

Hi all, I think the aftermarket panel/strip follows the line of the rear lights much better being above and still plenty of space for the lettering, one question do you still retain the option of opening top section? Can the original release switch be fitted to the new panel.
Cheers,
Tony.

The upper tailgate will still operate as normal, the Tailgate switch is still in the same position. Thumbs Up

Fitted rear tailgate upgrade panel this weekend and moved lettering to top of tailgate , weather was poor but managed to back Rangey enuf under garage door to keep dry.
Question Question ... Did anybody else struggle to like or get used to new tailgate or the higher lettering after they completed it? Just I stood back looked and thought it looks odd and maybe I preferred letters at the bottom, , maybe il get used to it....is that normal or just me? Java black 2006

I tried to place the lettering as low as possible, in other words as close as possible to the slight bend in the trim. Like you I'm not 100% satisfied, but looks better than the old look in my eyes. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

I'm a bit concerned now I think I might of placed the letters too low on the top panel I pretty much placed them about 4 mil above the silver strip maybe that's why it looks weird il try get a pic.
Are the letters re-usable If I take them back off and fit them higher or will the sticky bit be ruined? I stuck them down yesterday Java black 2006

Honest answers letters too low or they look ok?

I can shift them higher if I need too, don't no if it's just me not being used to having letters up there or if they not in right place, or is there a right and wrong place can u just bang them on anywhere, I looked at images of genuine 2012 rear ends before sticking mine on and they seem to have them lower from factory than I've seen people have them fitted to the upgrade conversions? Java black 2006

yep that does look a little strange through my eyes.
i found it difficult to place the lettering between the bend and the silver strip, so I placed them just above the bend.
let's see if I can find a piccie for you. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Censored I'm best off pulling them off and sticking them higher aren't i.

Are these letters reusable if u pull them off is thee anyway of making them sticky? Java black 2006
