Seriously considering changing the wheels on my black 08 RRS HSE
At the moment I have 20" supercharged but they are in a bad way!
Considering a set of style 11's, possibly in black?? Or maybe silver
Too many bad stories about the 22's has put me off them, although they do look

i have had 22s on all my range rovers and there is nowt wrong with em just a bit firmer ride

100% agree with above,
Just a little firmer.

But just keep away from cheap wheels, poor quality, cheap materials.
Kahn, overfinch & revere are all good choices.

I want to switch my RR 20s (slightly scuffed now) to 22s. What do you think I'd get for mine including a spare? I'm new to this car business...
Any thoughts much appreciated

What stories have put you off 22s?? If it is cracking and failing rims then make sure you buy genuine branded rather than eBay imported - get what you pay for!

If it is about the ride, (each to their own as I know I will be shot at here) try one rather than taking others opinion. If you are used to driving a BM or performance merc you will not have any issue with 22s, my RRS is far softer than my wife's 1 series over the same road surface.

You will notice a big difference on handling, with 22s on cornering is much better, the lower profile gives less body roll and fast cornering feels much more positive, especially considering the weight of the car.

22" wheels DO put more stress into suspension components, as there is less flex in the tyre sidewall. But only on hitting larger bumps. For the majority of driving, the stresses will be very similar.
I remember changing lower ball joints every 15k mile service, as the owner was adament he was keeping the 22"s on. LR put a warranty restriction on his car for ANY suspension components, so he paid for every set...

Personally, I don't like the ride on 22"s, makes things more fidgety, harsher when hitting small bumps, and forever dodging the bigger bumps/potholes

But they do look

I changed my 22s for 20s and as already said the 20s don't feel as sure footed when cornering, but, there is a slight improvement in the ride.
For me, the improvement in ride wins over the cornering ability so the 20s will stay on the car and the 22s will stay in the garage.
