Its snowed... and I could actually get off my drive. Dont get me wrong, its not deep, but I came from a 5-series where it would only need to look cold and the car would itself!!

So, got adventurous and went up in to the Rez near our house, good steep ice road, and Betsy just toddled up no problems!

Then I took my daughter out sedging, because we could actually drive somewhere when it had snowed!!

Brilliant!! Excuse Betsy, she's a very diiirty girl....

Icy descents are where you see how good HDC can be. I've driven down, using low range, HDC and under complete control, an icy slope that I struggled to stand up on. I tried it again without HDC (using the brakes myself) and it slid all over the place.

Good to see you're making use of the vehicle's abilities, though I'm not sure off-road height is needed on tarmac...  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It went into Off Road height when I put it in snow mode??

The HDC continuously tells me its faulty when I turn the car on, but works fine! Think thats more of a replacement battery issue though, as Ive already replaced the brake light switch.

I see you have gone back to the original grill, Why? and your front number plate is hanging off or very low In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

New battery, then it will cost a few pence, latest part number is LR033179. The is an AGM battery, it is what JLR have been fitting now for several years, one benefit is that it charges up pretty quickly. I had one €286 and that was with a discount as well.

Did you engage low range as well as grass/gravel/snow? I'm not sure mine raises just with g/g/s mode on the TR. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

At one point it was in Low Range, but put it back in highway. Pressed a few buttons tbh, as not 100% sure what they do or how they affect the drive!! Got up and down in one piece.

SRE - Old grille is on whilst I respray the old one. Just about to colour code the outside now, and changed the internals to gloss black instead of matt black.

Does low range + g/g/s raise the suspension to offroad height? Mine raised with g/g/s but only once - didn't do it the other times I used snow mode. I had to engage it because I stopped ( to check if my Blackvue was on ) while climbing an extremely steep incline coming out of a car park. There were thick patches of ice buried under deep snow and the car won't move forward in g/g/s alone. The rear end was just sliding left and right I even tried the tip once given by an LRE instructor to keep pushing the throttle slowly until the car senses which corner(s) the power needs to be diverted to. Didn't help I guess because all 4 were struggling to find traction. Put it into low range and it climbed out onto the road without me having to get out and shovel the snow out of the way
