Passenger Side Door Lock Fault

Hi guys,

I have read this is a common problem with the door actuators failing, but my P/S front door will not lock/unlock electronicly by button inside or on the key.

is it just strip down and change the actuator or is there a clever boffin's easy fix for this?

Got excited as i seen they where only £35 but that was back in 2006 and are now £83.52 + vat. Crying or Very sad

Any help would be much appreciated.

As you say, its a common fault on older models. I had the same problem on my 2006 sport, but it was the drivers door that went faulty first. The passanger door lock failed about 4 months later. Whistle New lock mechanisums fixed them both, but the passanger door a little more difficult with having the key access. About £160 ish from a dealer fitted IIRC.

Aww cheers mate, much appreciated.

Terrible mind how poorly these cars are considering its a high end vehicle.

I have mainly had BMW's and Audi's and the build quality is a lot better plus didn't spend a penny on them, I'm a week and 1/2 in and already had to replace the battery, which has now caused a suspension fault, and now the door actuator.
Ggrrrrr haha Censored

Have you replaced the battery with a like for like item Question If not, this will cause you no end of electrical issues. Whistle RRS are very temperamental when it come to the electrics.

Ummm well it had a 8 year old land rover battery on there so I changed it for an 019 which was an aftermarket equivalent.

All works fine but a week later the door actuator failed grrrr at Christmas to so I can't even get it fixed till next week.
