Poor MPG and Lack Of Power 2.7TDV6

Hello to all!! Firstly I'd like to point out I'm new to the forum so I apologise for anything I do wrong or ask questions that have already being answered. This is the first time I've used a forum so please let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

Right here we go, abit of background information first.

So I own a RRS 2.7TDV6, It's on a '06 plate, when I bought it had done 62k miles it's now done 72k and I have had no end of problems with it!!
In the 10k miles I've had it It's had
New hand brake ecu, cables, shoes, discs pads and calipers on the back
New EGR valve and pipes,
Intercooler pipes,
Both front bottom wishbones
New battery
Suspension compressor and levelling valves
Plus Afew other bits and bats

I now have a problem with the MPG and a lack of power. According to the dash It's doing 16.8MPG and a distinctive lack of power. You notice the lack of power more when you depress the accelerator pedal 3/4 of the way down, the RR revs to 3k then but then drops off to around 2.5k then struggles to get back to 3k. I've tryed using diesel treatment and no joy.

Thank you for taking time to read my post, and any advice on my latest problem is greatly appreciated
Cheers Matt

EGR ? air getting in the system ? Suggest taking it in for some diagnostics and get it thoroughly checked Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Thanks for the reply

I changed the fuel filter around 8month ago but then again I suppose it doesn't mean that it can't be that, I'll get one ordered and fit it and try that.

I own a Snap-On Solus Ultra, I've plugged it in and reckoned to of checked everything on the engine side and I couldn't find any faults with it.

Cheers Matt

Zilch,
I thought of that but they are on the list as replaced, but I guess they could have been replaced "poorly".

A lazy reader barry and missed it Embarassed

Matt do you have a decent independent with LR experience that could take a look ?? they may have
seen similar symptoms.. alternatively have you asked your local friendly LR mechanic? Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

No I don't have any independent LR mechanics that I know or that I can ask, not that I can rely on anyway, had some bad experiences with some guys around my end, so being a mechanic myself, just lacking knowledge on LR/RR's thought I'd ask the question on here.

Spain

Get it to the likes of Pete Bell http://bellautoservices.co.uk/ Thumbs Up

Could be:-
Intercooler split
Turbo hose split / delamination
EGR
Turbo

Best get it checked "properly" In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

How many MPG would a split intercooler pipe lose? I know mine needs replacing, and ive just put my fills and milage into an excel formula and im coming out with 18.6mpg.

Granted my average speed is 16mph as its all commuting miles... Just searching google now to see how slower speeds affect MPG 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Scratch that... First day commuting via A-Roads and the Motorway and I had 26.2mpg... So no concerns anymore! 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)
