United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

Daz
Went for a 159 sportwagon. 2.0 jtd. Auto, averages 50mpg, goes well enough to be able to squirt past a doddling granny in a Toyota Yaris on a country lane and handles like a go kart. Bow down being used to @22 mpg, this is amazing getting circa 60 on a motorway run and giving 700 miles of range on regular basis. Everything works on it, not a squeek or rattle and only thing I have replaced in 10000 miles is pulley damper. Only complaint is that it chucks all the road crud up the back door and covers rear number plate Whistle
2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

I was joking in the office yesterday that, by the time I've finished with it, my RRS will be as good as it should have been when it left the factory!

Someone asked if the Range Rover Sport was the automotive equivalent of Trigger's broom - there are no original parts left! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

^^^^ yeah I'd read you have been having a few new parts fitted.

So what the plan with yours run it till the death or chop it in?

Not sure really. Part of me thinks I should move it on and try a new one. But part of me thinks I know what's been done to it and when, so run it 'til it drops. I do enjoy taking it off road on occasion which would be slightly more worrying with something newer.

Toying with adding some underbody plates (mostly to protect the transfer box electric motors really) and a raised air intake (to give protection from an unintended bit of deeper water as I can't see the point of playing submarines with a 4x4 like some of the Defender boys do). I quite fancy a trip along Strata Florida before the Ramblers get greenlaning banned... I also quite fancy a trip or two down to the Pyrenees and Portugal as they look like fabulous off road adventures.

Having said all of that, I do quite fancy a 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE though... Whistle Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I am toying with changing my TDV8 now its got 112k on it - not because its got issues - far from it - only reason is lack of availability of a warranty after 130k - unless anyone knows any sensible warranties which are worth the paper... Question

I'm out green laning all the time but on my ktm 300 six days not the sport as I don't even take the up Tarmac curbs Whistle

Strata florida is also on my list to do but I'm doing a race season next year so laning will take a back seat, make sure you film the trip when you do it Thumbs Up
