Why does the back of the new RRS get so filthy?

I have owned a good number of estate and 4x4 vehicles and I've never owned one that gets so dirty so quickly at the back as my new RRS. My car was valeted on Monday and this is the result of a 400mile round trip to Humberside and return on Tuesday and it never even rained during the whole trip

For a clean sheet modern design which is supposed to have been extensively wind tunnel tested, its cr*p (literally). No wonder there is the option for an extra washer bottle which thankfully I ticked. The rear camera also gets covered in muck very quickly and becomes all but useless.

PS I presume that my car is illegal due to the number plate being obscured? Nice to know that L-R designed a car which can cause the driver to be driving illegally in just a few miles

You want to try owning one in Fuji White, minimum weekly wash or the thing will take an absolute age to clean when you finally get round to it.

Don't forget the wheels - I kid you not I get about 10 miles out of my AB alloys (when clean) before then need another wipe.

Lovely vehicle but the neighbours think I'm crazy (I wash it more than my kids) lol.

Have to say .. You're spot on with Fuji...

Mine stands up quite well though with the crystal serum.. it's on the wheels as well....and is a dream to clean..

Spear... it's not too late to get it done....

If you don't want to go to the bother Collinite 845 insulator wax is a great winter product and will make a big difference 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

My "old" RRS is the same. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Wow, you need to see someone about that...it's not healthy to be that obsessed about a set of alloy wheels! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

JLR are obviously aware of this, because it was one of the questions in one of their many surveys they have asked me to fill in. Like you say, its a driving offence, but it is the drivers responsibilty to make sure your plate can be read at all times, not JLR's.
