Well done.

Hopefully there is no one in front of you. What's the spec, or do we wait for a surprise? Very Happy

Lovely.

One point, and I'm sure you are aware of, is that I believe the side-steps don't match the outline of the different sill on the SVR.

who, what, huh?

bloody hell, now you have me worried. I really need them though as i have horses and have to venture down a muddy track. They were a godsend on the AB.

Also being a tad short i really need that step.

Just hope it doesnt look a disaster. Worst case, i take them off. 2012 Evoque

I'm probably talking rubbish again, but I thought the steps were shaped at the front to match the curved profile of the sill. On the SVR, the sill is straight.

Oh, thanks for that, I guess it will be a surprise.

Im more annoyed about the roof TBH. Do i settle and get the car sooner or risk waiting forever with the correct roof. Its like my evoque order all over again. 2012 Evoque

What's the position with mud-flaps on the SVR? Essential on my Evoque but I think I've only seen front ones listed. Mark

Can't understand why there's an issue with the sliding roof; it's surely the same as the one in the other RRS models? Are there supply issues with them as well?

I think the full size pano roof though is relatively new. Roofs were a problem with the Evoque as Sally says. They are made in China and given their weight, I expect can only be shipped economically by sea in volume. May be the same for the RRS.

As a matter of interest, I wonder what the attraction of the pano roof is over the sliding roof - uninterrupted view (no cross member), body rigidity, what else? Mark

A few Kg of weight right at the top of the car.

I know it still weights 2 and a bit(lot) tonnes, but that high will make a difference. If you do not open the Sliding one why not go for fixed Pano?

What is the price diff between the two?

no price difference.

I am tying to see the positive of a full pano roof. As mentioned, no pillars blocking the view. Its just when you decided on something its annoying to be told its not available.

The roof shortage is effecting the sports as well. 2012 Evoque

No difference in cost. The only thing against the fixed pano roof is that I'm not sure there are blinds. Does anyone know?

Hi Sally

Has the dealer told you how long the delay is for a sliding pano roof?

I assume that rear mud flaps are not shown because of the different rear valence for the SVR. Hopefully they will appear at some point.

As for the roof, the Evoque roof is said to weigh 62kg and will raise the CofG. How much that contributes to the roly-poly ride I do not know but the active anti roll bars in the SVR will help. It would be interesting to know whether the suspension setup takes the type of roof fitted into account. It will also fractionally blunt acceleration and they lost the full size spare as factory fit and front fogs to keep the weight under control.

As for delivery dates, Sally's dealer is obviously keeping her informed. Bad news on the roof though. I expect I will hold out for the sliding one but it's the usual Land Rover supply chain shambles. Mark
