something sticking or worse ?

Evening all

for the last 2 days have had an issue that i will attempt to describe with the hope that our very knowledgable members will know what the cause is Bow down

after starting from cold (can't say about when warm yet) and driving off the throttle is intermitantly unresponsive ie, press the pedal and car pulls very slowly hardly revving even when pushed to the floor, and then all of a sudden it's like a connections established and the car takes off like a scolded cat, seems to improve as car warms up but am not sure.

Doesn't make any difference if i put the gearbox in command shift either.

When i left the office today i started the car and tried to rev it while stationary and it didn't rev hardly at all, put in gear pulled away and just crawled then after about 200 meters suddenly picked up and shot off like a rocket.

BTW 2.7 tdv6, any ideas guys, pleeeeese Thumbs Up

Failing EGR valves.
Blank them off and you'll be fine.
Unless you've also got black smoke, in which case intercooler hose is split. Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheers Bodsy

Can't thank you and others enough for the input on this forum Thumbs Up

Just need to find someone to do it as i reckon it might be beyond me and my tool collection Laughing

kit is ordered, should be here by Tuesday and will have a stab at it.

Apart from the fact it's a Censored to drive when the egr's play up is there any long term issues if not sorted in a few days ?

Quick update,

managed to get into local indie before my blanking kit arrived, they diagnosed egr's not failing but maybe electrical fault not showing on the diagnostic thing.

I said well blank em anyway while you've got the car, which they did and, the car is fine since.
