Spare Fuses

I think this is is just a rant....

I've had my MY06 for about six weeks and recently realised that the cigar lighter does not work. So trying to be logical and not waste effort I decided to check the fuse first. Checked the manual, found the correct fuse number, it's position on the board, the position of the fuse tool and the spare fuses. Pulled the old fuse, checked with a multimeter and found the fuse was open circuit - great I've found the problem!

How on earth are you meant to extract the spare Fuses? I don't have large hands, but I can't even get past the cable loom, let alone touch the fuse.

Thanks for listening Smile

At the top of the fuses, there is a red plastic thing. Use that and it sometimes helps make it easier to get back in. Oh and a bright head torch and the resort to some funny shaped long nosed pliers.

Long nose pliers makes a lot of sense, a useful investment for my car kit.

Thanks as always Very Happy

yes long nose pliers work to get spares out, but couldn't get the spare back in so left it in the glove box, can't believe how cramped it is in there Rolling Eyes
