acc braking

Hi all. Just a quick question about the acc. I was driving along at 70 with the distance set quite far from the car in front. Someone pulled sharply in front of me and it felt like I slammed the brakes on and the car behind swerved as if he never new I was braking. Question is do the brake lights come on in the situation or is it just engine braking?
Cheers
jay

I'm sure your brake lights will come on, otherwise there would be lots of rear end shunts into the back of RRS with this fitted. Embarassed

In mine the brake lights definitely come on. Maybe the guy behind was too close as the rrs applies the brakes quite vigorously in those situations, it scared the s@@t outta me the first time it did it!

Accelerates hard as well when the road clears, been told off more than once by the Mrs for that, took some convincing that it was the car and not me.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I'm now used to covering the accelerator with my foot when something happens that I think might cause the car to brake, unless I wanted it to of course.
