Simple question! :)

Hi folks, first post - and it's an easy question if you dont mind!

All you 2009 3.0 diesel RRS owners:

What does the range indicator on your car read when you fill the tank - how much to fill the tank and how far does she go on a full tank?

Ok that's 3 questions but all essential to a possible purchase this weekend for me!

Thanks, Tim

Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Hi, welcome to the site. Thumbs Up
It all depends on the driving style prior to filling the vehicle up. On average, it costs about £120.00 to fill up with Shells finest. My computer usually says around 450 miles to empty. I usually do a lot of B road driving, so perhaps not getting the best mpg, although my computer is showing 29.8 mpg. The best i got out of a tank full was 550 miles with 12 miles still showing on the computer, but about 400 miles of that was motorway and A1. Once you get behind the wheel, you will forget about the mpg, it will be smiles per miles. Smile
Oh and my motor is the SDV6. I know your question was based on the TDV6, but your figures won't be too far off mine. Enjoy your new motor. Thumbs Up

Ady, thanks for the reply, this is the car - sorry I'm not big on the differences in the engines but I've been after one for as long as I can remember and this looks to be the one

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Occasionally just over 400 miles - generally 380ish

For the avoidance of trouble I fill up when about 1/4 full, costs close to £80. Not sure of tank capacity.

Trip computer says 26.2 mpg - mixed use - no regular commute.

Cheers, Andy

Looks a nice example Tim, a few nice extras too. Insist on a minimum 12 month warranty and go through it with a fine tooth comb, failing that get a L/R extended warranty, about £1200. Shocked But well worth it for piece of mind.
