Andorra 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

Mark assures us it's Johnsons controls.... Perhaps someone else can chip in...

Whoever it is they need to bloody change them or at least give

them an ultimatum before terminating their contact .... Either that or LR are happy with this sub standard workmanship...

Boldly.... I will be going back to the dealer and insist the seats go to an upholsterer...

It's a tiny place here so I may have to wait until I go to Barcelona....

I did though express my dissatisfaction with the quality of the fit on taking delivery, so it's on record 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

Phil I think you are right.

When I visited Halewood, there's a Johnson Controls plant right next door to Halewood and trucks with their name on the side were making deliveries there. I think they do things like door cards as well.

The situation at Solihull appears to be different. Digging around, I can see a reference to an Ian Woollon who is now "Group Leader, Exterior Ornamentation at Jaguar Land Rover" and who used be involved with "Range Rover Seating at Lear Corporation" so it may well be the seats are made by Lear. In particular, it looks like they are responsible for the third row seating in the RRS.

So if these pictures are not examples of Johnson Control's handiwork, I apologise.

Anyway, whoever is making them is not doing a great job, judging by these examples. They may be exceptions but the whole point of QC is to weed those exceptions out! Mark

Hornbaeck... noticed both your rear buckles are standing proud... Check both of them recess into the cutout that are there..

if they don't ... they will cause significant damage to the upright of the leather on the seats when you put them down for

loading, especially if there is any weight on top of them....

I don't know who makes the seats for the RRS. I only know that both JC and Lear supply JLR, and that, through SVO, I'm trying to get them to do something different, unsuccessfully at the moment.

Might well be like the Porsche Customisation Lounge in Stuttgart where a charming young woman will give you a tasty cup of coffee and you can have anything you want as long as it's on the options list. I wanted blue seat belts. Black, yellow, red, silver, no problem. Blau? "Leide ist es nicht moeglich...." (sorry, not possible...) It's just so much nonsense. Mark
