Spoke to the dealer today, my new RRS has got a full service history, its been serviced twice at the supplying dealer (Stratstone Solihull) and is about to be serviced and MOT'd before I collect next week. Dealer has also said that the service department will address the outstanding recall campaigns. I have even now persuaded them to sort me out with new Reg plates for when my private plate is ready to go on...

Just off to Solihull Land Rover today to check out the RRS before I pick it up next week.mi was uncomfortable buying 'blind'. So, today gives me the opportunity to give it a once and and drive it and to pick up any issues that I would want resolving before next Friday.

If you need a boot liner and dog guard google 'boot buddy' and have a look. I fitted one in my RRS and the carpeting underneath is still like new.

Looking at my own RRSC 2011 I cannot recognize your center console. What's the chrome plated part on the the right? Mine has a little storage compartment right there. RRS SC 2011 for fun

^^^^^ That is where the gear knob is housed, it pops up out of the console when the engine is started. S/C models have a lever. We also have a storage compartment. Covered by a roller shutter door type cover. Yours is left hand drive i'm gussing, so will be on the opposite side to ours here in the UK.

No RRS tomorrow. It's not ready, being told the two factory recalls are taking more time than they invisaged. All very frustrating, so I can't collect it until Saturday week - the next day I am availabLe to travel down to Birmingham. Range Rover - 4.4SDV8 Autobiography - Corris and Black

Plenty of time to sort it all out. It needed a bonnet respray this week, couple of new tyres, 1st MOT, recalls sorting and a few other minor things I picked up. To be fair, I don't mind waiting so long as the car is totally spot on when I pick it up.

I finally pick it up tomorrow morning! Leaving home at 7AM to get down to the dealers for about 9AM. Made a list of all the things I need to check before I drive away, I am really hoping that they have prepped the car to a high standard and to my satisfaction.
